The Challenge

AsBuilt was contracted by a power plant to scan, model and design a Hydrocyclone replacement project. This specific plant was looking to install a new Hydrocyclone to reliably operate the dewatering system

The Solution

AsBuilt laser scanned the Hydrocyclone and surrounding area incorporating all structural, equipment and utility details. Once post processing was completed, the data sets were checked for quality and prepared for 3D modeling of the structure. A new support structure was designed to replace the existing structure to accommodate the new Hydrocyclone, piping, elevations and loading. Supply and discharge drawings were created to connect the new unit to the existing pipe.
